Products Description of Glycerol Triglycidyl Ether CAS#13236-02-7
Glycidyl ethers include compounds such as allyloxyepoxypropane, diglycidyl ether, isopropyl glycidyl ether, butoxyepoxypropane, diglycidyl ether (EP-562), and epoxphenoxypropane. These substances share similar chemical properties and toxicological effects.
They are typically colorless liquids with a pungent odor. They exhibit low acute toxicity through oral and dermal exposure, while showing moderate toxicity via inhalation, primarily affecting the nervous system. Their effects generally begin with stimulation followed by inhibition.
Inhalation exposure may cause strong respiratory irritation and can even lead to pulmonary edema. They are also highly irritating to the skin and may cause burns. Contact with skin or eyes can result in significant irritation. Symptomatic treatment is recommended.

Product Application of Glycerol Triglycidyl Ether CAS#13236-02-7
Glycidyl ethers are widely used as viscosity-reducing reactive diluents for epoxy resins and alkyd resins, as well as stabilizers for organic chlorinated compounds such as pesticides and herbicides, and as resin modifiers.
Glycidyl butyl ether is primarily used as a reactive diluent for epoxy resins and is also applied in coatings, adhesives, and electrical materials. Glycidyl allyl ether can serve as a flame-retardant modifier for unsaturated polyester resins. Glycidyl phenyl ether is also used in reactive diluents and base resin systems for coatings.
The demand for glycidyl methyl ether is relatively limited. In Japan, its annual consumption is approximately 900 to 1,000 tons.
