Sodium Fluoride (CAS#7647-14-5)
Sodium fluoride is an inorganic fluoride that is toxic and corrosive, appearing as a white crystalline powder or in granular form. It remains stable under normal temperature and dry conditions. However, it reacts with strong acids, such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, to produce highly toxic hydrofluoric acid (HF). Therefore, it must never be stored together with acidic substances.

Product Usage
Sodium fluoride finds wide applications across various industries. In industrial settings, it is used as a metallurgical flux, a corrosion inhibitor in water treatment, and an opacifier in enamel and glass. In medical and oral care, it serves as an anti-caries ingredient in fluoride toothpaste and as a dental fluoride coating agent. In agriculture, it is utilized as a pesticide, insecticide, and trace additive in ruminant feed. Additionally, sodium fluoride can be employed as a laboratory reagent, a welding flux, and an additive in lithium battery electrolytes.
