Products Description
Poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDADMAC, CAS#26062-79-3) is a water-borne cationic polyelectrolyte widely adopted for flocculation applications. Its synthesis relies on radical polymerization of diallyldimethylammonium chloride (DADMAC), with organic peroxide compounds applied as polymerization catalysts. The polymer demonstrates full miscibility with water, yet it cannot be dissolved in ethanol, aromatic hydrocarbons and other organic solvents. The material carries a very high positive charge density, enabling powerful neutralization of negatively charged species. It is resistant to hydrolysis, maintains consistent properties under shifting pH conditions, and offers good tolerance to chlorine exposure.
