POE (15) Tallow Amine, also known as ethoxylated tallow alkyl amine, is a nonionic surfactant. Its molecular structure is presented as R‑(CH₂)ₙ‑NH‑(CH₂CH₂O)ₘH. Here R represents tallow‑derived alkyl groups from C16‑C18 fatty acids; n ranges from 12 to 22, and m denotes the degree of ethoxylation (typically 3‑50 EO units).
At ambient temperature, it appears as white paste or waxy semi‑solid. Upon heating, it converts into yellow, transparent free‑flowing liquid. It acts as a high‑performance emulsifier and surface‑active agent for detergents, cosmetics and textile industries. When stored under suitable conditions, the product offers a 24‑month shelf‑life.
